From Friday, 29/05/2020, preventive isolation after arrival in the Azores from outside the archipelago will cease to apply. Anyone who arrives to the Azores, however, is required to arrive with a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result (option 1 described earlier) or undergo the on-site test and wait at the hotel max 48h to receive a negative result (option 2 described earlier) .

Reminder of options 1 and 2

A person arriving to the Azores from outside the archipelago is required (to choose):

1) Submit written confirmation from a certified laboratory that you are not infected with SARS-CoV-2. The tests should be done within 72 hours before departure.

2) Get examined for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 as soon as you arrive and go to the obligatory isolation to a designated hotel until you receive a negative test result. The waiting time for the test result can be up to 48 hours.
