As of Friday, May 29, 2020, preventive isolation ceases to apply in the Azores.
Today will be informative! I know that you are waiting impatiently for information when you will be able to visit the Azores, so today there are basically the facts.
From Friday, 29/05/2020, preventive isolation after arrival in the Azores from outside the archipelago will cease to apply. Anyone who arrives to the Azores, however, is required to arrive with a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result (option 1 described earlier) or undergo the on-site test and wait at the hotel max 48h to receive a negative result (option 2 described earlier) .
Reminder of options 1 and 2
A person arriving to the Azores from outside the archipelago is required (to choose):
1) Submit written confirmation from a certified laboratory that you are not infected with SARS-CoV-2. The tests should be done within 72 hours before departure.
2) Get examined for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 as soon as you arrive and go to the obligatory isolation to a designated hotel until you receive a negative test result. The waiting time for the test result can be up to 48 hours.
Flights to the Azores
SATA
The Azorean airlines SATA are resuming connections between the islands of the archipelago from Friday 29/05/2020. SATA connections with mainland Portugal and Madeira Island will be resumed gradually from the 15th of June. SATA foreign flights, i.e. connections between the Azores and Boston, Toronto, Praia (Cape Verde) and Frankfurt are suspended until June 30.
TAP
The Portuguese airlines TAP fly several times a week to the Azores.

June: Friday and Sunday;
July: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday;
from August 1: daily
Direct TAP flights Lisbon – São Miguel:
June: Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday;
from July 1: daily
Ryanair
Ryanair resumes flights to the Azores from the end of June / beginning of July 2020.
Direct Ryanair flights Lisbon – Terceira:
July: Wednesday and Friday;
from August 1: Monday, Wednesday and Friday;
from October 25: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
Direct Ryanair flights Lisbon – São Miguel:
from June 21: daily
Direct Ryanair flights Porto – Terceira:
July: Saturday;
from August 1: Tuesday and Saturday;
from October 26: Monday and Friday
Direct Ryanair flights Porto – São Miguel:
from June 21: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday;
from October 26: daily
Direct Ryanair flights Londyn-Stansted – Terceira:
from July 1 until October 21: Wednesday
